The power steering is actually power assisted steering. When
the steering wheel is turned towards some direction, the
hydraulic fluid will be pressurized ultimately moving the
lever connected to the wheel at some additional force,
reducing the the load given through the steering wheel so
giving stress free driving comfort while taking a turn.
Clutch is of different types and the basic principle is the
friction. when the vehicle is at motion the clutch is
engaged that means the friction surfaces engage. This
friction surface is the clutch plate also if number of
plates increase then the performance of the clutch also
increases, if you apply clutch the clutch lever dis engages
the frictions surfaces. so finally the engine power is not
taken to the transmission, so engine runs freely.

Answer / karthick
power steering concept is mainly introduced to optimize the
steering ratio.steering ratio means ratio of how much
degree you turn the wheel to the wheel turns.so instead of
using rack and pinion,we use power steering.here a
pump, valve is used.pump is driven by the engine and valve
is used to regulate the pressure.while the pump runs it
increases the fluid pressure this pressurized fluid assists
in steering the wheels
