FIRST OF ALL DISCONNECT THE SOURCE OF SUPPLY, MOSTLY FIRE
OCCURED DUE TO THE ELECTRIC SHORT CIRCUITS.
THEN CALL OTHER RESCUE WORKERS, IF I AM FIRE TEAM MEMBER
THEN I MUST KNOW THE CLASSES OF FIRE AND USES OF FIRE
EXTINGUISHERS.

it if is oil base it should be use (dcp)co2 fire extinion.if
it is electrical (DCP)fire extintion is used,for wooden or
paper waste fire we should use sand or water.

If it is a alarm ,as a member of ERT or Maintenance/management team,We should first analyse whether it is Real or false alarm by checking the fault zone indicated in the FA panel .It could be false alarm due to dust collection in detector or some other reason ,such case follow your organisation procedure and reset it ,'
If its a real fire and alarm ,do the possibility with you like if we are ERT member or trained ,inform first your seniors and Paralaly try to extinguish the fire with Extinguisher/Hydrant system and also switch OFF the Power supply . Operate the MCP ,so others you can make alert and announce in PA system about the fire and to Evacuate the Building .
If you are not having any knowledge of Fire system ,first you evacuate the building and inform management for the proper action .

extremely urgent please, why a fuse is used before voltmeter but not with a ammeter connected to a CT(current transformer),thanks in anticipation.

For polarity test on a 11/3.3kV 2.5MVA delta-star Unit Auxiliary transformer,415V 3-phase supply was applied at the HV. Connection between Aa was made with a 2.5mm cable. As soon as power was switched on the cable caught fire and burnt. This test was then abandoned. It is noteworthy to say that a similar cable was also used in a similar transformer for the same. The cable did not burn and test was successfully completed with good result. What is wrong? Please, help me out.
