Normally when you create a prompt for a query item, you drag
and drop the appropriate type of prompt onto your prompt
page. In case that you are not sure of the best prompt type
to choose, use a Generated prompt and ReportNet will
automatically select an appropriate type for you, based on
the nature of the query item.

it is automated generate prompt,depends upon the value u
selected in report design.
for eg:
if u selected the number the generated prompt takes the
text prompt.
if u selected the text the generated prompt takes the value
prompt.
like wise for date also.

Selects a prompt control based on the data type of the data
item.
This control acts like a placeholder. When users run the
report, the control is replaced by the appropriate prompt
control. For example, if users are prompted for date
values, the control is replaced by a date & time prompt.
