What is the Turbo technology in engine???????????..

Answer / karthick

turbo technology is mainly used to increase power produced
from the cylinder.it uses the exhaust gas to run a turbine
and the power of that turbine is used to compress the
incoming air for cylinder.as a result of this the power
produced will be more for the same given input.this
increses the efficiency

What is the Turbo technology in engine???????????..

Answer / bill

Turbo technology refers to exhaust gas from the engine
turning a small turbine that is connected to an air pump.
The normally wasted exhaust gas is now used as the driver.
The amount of fuel injected into a cylinder is related to
the amount of oxygen that also be put in the cylinder in
order to achieve combustion. If an air pump were to pump
air into the cylinder, then the air becomes pressurized and
more dense, meaning there are more oxygen molecules inside
the cylinder. Since there is more oxygen, more fuel can be
injected and thus a greater explosion of combustion
occurs. This greater explosion means that the same engine
now produces greater horsepower compared to a naturally
aspirated engine.

What is the Turbo technology in engine???????????..

Answer / sudhakar

In order to achieve this boost, the turbocharger uses the exhaust flow from the engine to spin a turbine, which in turn spins an air pump. The turbine in the turbocharger spins at speeds of up to 150,000 rotations per minute (rpm) -- that's about 30 times faster than most car engines can go. And since it is hooked up to the exhaust, the temperatures in the turbine are also very high.
The advantage of compressing the air is that it lets the engine squeeze more air into a cylinder, and more air means that more fuel can be added. Therefore, you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A turbocharged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging. This can significantly improve the power-to-weight ratio for the engine
