What is the Differance between the diode and SCR properties

Diode is a Semiconductor having one p-n junction But in case
of SCR there three p-n junctions
diode can work in both direction but SCR works only in one
direction( i.e., P-N-P-N)
diode is combination of two semiconductors (i.e., p-type and
n-type), but SCR is a combination of two transistors (i.e.,
pnp and npn transistor)
diode always conducts if input is given to it but SCR don't
shows this property there are some method to turn ON or to
turn OFF the SCR (like using Gate Pulse method)
and there are lot of differance between DIODE and SCR

Diode: 2-terminal, 1-junction semiconductor device. it has
no control on its conduction
where as SCR is 3-terminal,3- junction semiconductor device.
it has control over its conduction.i.e unless a gate signal
is applied it wont conduct

Diod is a semiconducter device, made of Si,Ge etc..
sCR is made of only Si not any other semeconducter device.
