the power distribution loss? Can I reduce it by adding
capacitor at the load feeder?

Power factor (PF) is a measure of how effectively electrical power is being used. If PF = 0.8 at motor end, then reactive power is being consumed to maintain the voltage level. This results in higher current flow and increased power distribution loss.nThe power distribution loss can be calculated using the formula: Loss = I^2 * R * Cos(phi) where I is the current, R is the resistance, and phi is the phase angle (90 - arctan(Xc/R)). However, without knowing the actual values of Xc (capacitive reactance) and R, we cannot compute the loss directly.nAdding a capacitor at the load feeder can help to reduce the power distribution loss by compensating for the reactive current drawn by the motor. This results in a lower current flow and reduced loss. However, the exact amount of reduction would depend on the specific values of Xc, R, and the size of the capacitor.
