what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / koti

sensor just sens the physical quantity(parameter).it does
not convert to any form.
transducer=sensor+transduction element.it converts one form
of energy into another form.

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / ankur

sensor is nothing but just a primary element which senses
any physical phenomenon or it gives an indication in any
change of the physical phenomenon.
while..
transducer converts one form of energy to the another form
of energy.
EVERY TRANSDUCER IS ALWAYS HAVING A SENSOR BUT EVERY SENSER
DOESNT NEED TO B A TRANSDUCER.

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / abdus sattar mollah

sensors: which can respond to a change in physical
parameter (in its surruonding) and produce a change in a
physical parameter that can be sensed.eg:when a peizo
electric crystal is supplied a potential difference then
its change its dimension.

Transducer:which convert an change in physical parameter
(involving some form of energy) into some USEFUL energy's
form.Eg:peizoelectric crystal with electrodes is a
transducer.

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / ashokkumar

Sensor is a device which measures a physical quantity like
vibration ,temperature,humidity,pressure,speed etc and
converts in electrical form depending on the sensor
properties whether active or passive type.

Transducer is a device which converts one form of energy
into another form. That may be from voltage to current or
temperature to voltage.

So all sensor can be transducer but all transducer can't be
sensor.

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / guest

sensor: which converts one physicalquantity into electrical
quantity. Transducer which converts one form of energy into
another form.Example pressure Measurement{BOURDAN TUDE}.

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / binay das

a sensor is the complete assembly required to detect and communicate a particular event, while a transducer is the element within that assembly which accomplishes only the detection of the event.

A compass is a simple sensor of magnetic north, wherein the magnetic element in the compass is the transducer or "north detector" and the needle, housing and compass face comprise the remainder of the "north sensor".

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / sushmareddy

A device that measures or detects a real-world condition,
such as motion, heat or light and converts the condition
into an analog or digital representation. An optical sensor
detects the intensity or brightness of light, or the
intensity of red, green and blue for color systems.

Transducer which convetrs 1 form of energy in another form

Is This Answer Correct ?    16 Yes 13 No

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / ahmed saied

sensor converts physical quantity into signal which can be read by user or instrument and this signal is usually electrical digital signal like preasure sensor that when preasure reaches 4 bar sensor activate valve to be opened or closed.

transducer converts energy from one form to anthor such as
preasure transducer when preasure reaches 4 bar transducer converts it to electrical output current 0-20mA or voltage 0-5V

Is This Answer Correct ?    2 Yes 1 No

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / sandiv

transducer which converts the non electrical energy in to
electrical energy,bt not in a opposite manner.
sensor is a device that detects a change in a physical
stimulus and turns it into a signal which can be measured
or recorded

Is This Answer Correct ?    1 Yes 1 No

what is diff between sensors and transducers.explain with ex?..

Answer / ram lakhan meena

sensor is a device which only sense any single it does not change any physical quantity whereas transducer sense and convert any non electrical physical quantity into an electrical quantity.

Q1: Consider part of a control loop, which excludes the transmitter, consisting of a process, a controller and a control valve which may be represented by two dead times of 0.5 min each and three exponential lags of 0.8 min., 1.0 min. and 1.5 min. respectively. We wish to express this system as an overall first order plus dead time (FOPLD) model ie gain, time constant and process dead time. (We will see later that this is often done, to simplify controller tuning). For this exercise, gain is considered to be 1.0. (A) If the transmitter is a flow transmitter whose behaviour can be described by a dead time of 0.2 min. and an exponential lag of 0.5 min. in terms of the overall dead time and overall first order lag how can the system behaviour be approximated ? Overall dead time = Overall time constant = (B) If the transmitter is a temperature transmitter with a temperature sensor in a protecting well whose behaviour can be described by a dead time of 0.7 min. and an exponential lag of 15 min. how can the overall system behaviour be approximated now? Overall dead time = Overall time constant =
