Answer / jamal2009
by interconnecting the earth pit the earth resistance can
be drastically reduced as well as the reliablity of
earthing will also increase ie in case of isolation of
conductors from one earthing electrode the fault current
will pass through the other electrode

to reduced resistance of the path of Current flow so that
the electrical equipment and all accessory can be save
breaking the circuit.

Answer / chauhanalpesh
dear friends as we know for easy current flow to earth
earth-resistance should be low now practically we are not
getting very low resistance but we know that in parallel
connections resultant value of resistance will b decreased
so that y earth pits are intereconnected to reduce final
earth resistance

Simple, recall the mesh or loop analysis method. If resistance
is connected in series (--) it'll be increased (i.e., R=R1+R2 2+1=3).
If connected in parallel (||) it'll be reduced
(i.e., R=((R1*R2)/(R1+R2)) (2*1)/(2+1)=0.67).
