LLL or 3phase fault is most severe fault than the LG OR LL
or other unsymmetrical faults. 3phase or symmetrical fault
is a sudden short circuit produces currents and voltages
which are transient in nature before they settle down

LG fault is most severe fault at the alternator terminals than three phase fault, because zero sequence reactance is less at the generator and fault current incase of LG fault is three times the positive sequence current. As the fault location moves away from alternator zero sequence reactance increases and three phase fault becomes more severe.

lll faults are most sevre but if lg fault occurs very close to
the generator terminals then it is the most dangerous fault....

actually l-g fault is severe at generator and l-l-l-g is severe at line.. becoz when derz l-g fault at gen .. 1.5i flows through other two phases instead of i, which is dangerous.
At lines suppose l-l-l-g occurs.. then becoz of zero voltage at tht place.. the high potential difference will make very high current to flow through lines.. which is again severe. from the formulas.. this value is more than any other current flowing through lines

LLL fault is more sever than all other faults usually. But LG fault is more dangerous when generator is solidly grounded because at this condition LG fault current flows 1.5 times of three phase LLL fault current.

as symmetrical fault that is L-L-L is more dangerous. but if we calculating the fault current the LG fault current is very large as compared to other fault so from this we can conclude that LG fault is more severe than other fault.
as LG fault is take place between line and ground and ground potential is assume as zero and also having zero impedance so this fault current is very larger which is 1.5 time L-L-L fault. so according to this theory LG fault is more severe than other fault.

In a power conditoining unit (inverter) of a solar plant when we measure the d.c. current fed by different strings of solar plates to inverter, the current in the negative wire is less almost by 1 ampere to the current in its positive wire say current in positive wire 5 A , then current in negative wire of the same string is 4 A. Since the current entering should be equal to current leaving then why the current is noticably less in negative wire.
How can I calculate the fault level of a transformer. 1. If fault is 3phase fault 2. If fault is 1phase fault 3. If fault is 2phase fault Dear all geniouses, can you help me by giving answer. If anybody want to send something then mail me at "msalam_shahin@yahoo.com"
