simply saying;
Ceiling fan bears an external rotor! and internal stator.
whereas table fan or dryres etc have internal rotors and
external stators.

If we see the direction of rotation also differnt in
celling fan and table fan.Because in celling fan sator was
rotated but in table fan rotor wind was rotated.

In Ceiling Fan The rotar is stationary, when the power supply is in on condition the supply in the coil induces the magnetic flux in the rotor these magnetic lines are cut by the stator and it turn to run in anticlockwise direction...
In Table Fan the rotar is the rotating part, When the power supply is in on condition the supply in the coil induces the magnetic flux in the stator these lines are cut by the rotor and rotates in clock clockwise direction
