sensex depends on the deamand for the sahres that are in
the list. as per BSE index there are 2400+ companies in
the listing. depending upon the number of shares and value
of that particular share sensex will be calculated. as the
value of the shares increases sensex will increase and if
value of the shares decreases sensex decreases.
bcos there are 2400+ companies in the list value of some
companies shares increases and value of some companies
decreases. depending upon the total value of these sensex
increases/decreases

Every stock registered on an exchange have some market
capitalisation and according to that market capitalisation
weights are assigned to each stock. Then according to the
increase or decrease in the share price on daily trading
basis and multiplied with the weight the points of increase
or decrease is calculated for a particular stock exchange.
