Answer / kunal
An Earth wire is used to provide a path for leakage current
in case the body of an equipment is in touch with a naked
portion of live wire whereas a neutral wire is there to
provide a closed loop to the flow of current in an
equipment.
The neutral is earthed at the Distribution transformer
secondary side.

Neutral is a return path to complete the electrical
circuit. It is originated from transformer star point.
Earthing is connected to the panel or equipment to protect
the equipment & human life when leakage occurs.

neutral define as a closed path of electical ckt having
zero potential.and earth wire is a protection path of
electical ckt.

Answer / ashish chopra
neutral wire is there to form closed path of current
earth wire is there for the protection of equipment from
the leakage current and also provide ground path to leakage
currentand hence saves human life

UNDER HEALTHY CONDITION BOTH WIRES DONOT CARRY CURRENT.
EARTHING WIRE CARRIES LEAKAGE CURRENT AND AS ITS
RESISTANCE IS LESS(USUALLY<0.2 OHM UPTO THE POINT WHERE IT
IS EARTHED) IT PROVIDES ALTERNATE PATH TO CURRENT AS
RESISTANCE OF HUMAN BODY IS MUCH HIGHER( APPROX. 1000 OHM).
THE NEUTRAL WIRE MAY CARRY CURRENT UNDER UNBALANCED
CONDITIONS IN A THREE PHASE SYSTEM.

Answer / phani
neutral is used as a one of the point in potential
difference and another point phase.it acts as a closed loop
for the circuit.
earth wire is used to protect our body and equipment when
there is a contact with live wire.

neutral which carry the un balanced current to the system
..and earthing provide the leakage current to the earth in
the electrical or electronics equipment...

Neutral wire means not at a zero potential i.e it may be at
zero or at other potential. One can use this for reference
potential.
Earth wire is always at zero potential.Earth wire is always
use, for making the voltage of the matalic body at zero
potential i.e potential difference between metalic body and
earth becomes zero.
