why, when birds sit on transmission lines or current wires
doesn't get shock?

As the Bird is not touched on other lines or earth, the
circuit is not closed through the bird. Current flows only
through a closed circuit, So in this case current does not
flow through bird and so it will not get electric shock.

the reason birds dont get a shock when they touch an
electrical wire is this electricy always trys to find the
easy route to anywhere now it dosnt go through the bird
because it is easier to go through the wire than the brid
it has nothing to do with the birds being on nutral wire
what ever wire the bird is on it wont get shocked and that
is the sane for us we wont get shocked as long as were only
touching one wire and not touching anything else conected
to the ground

beau current flow path is closed circuit only.if it had
touch on a single line ,current must not glow on it's
body.if it will touch any two line including neutral also
it shell be burn duen to current flow.

normally current is the flow of electrons, which flows in
closed circuit.practically current flow if there is any
potential difference.if a bird sit on a line, it wont touch
the ground and hence the circuit is not closed.hence crow
wont feel shock.same is true for a human too.if we touch the
phase line when we are in air the circuit is not closed and
hence we wont feel any shock unless we touch the ground
while touching the phase wire....

when birds sits on the transmission line which is like
11/33/66/110/220/310kv(kilovolts)coming from substations at
the time when birds sit ,line man calls operator in
substation through his free govt mobile phone and asks
operator to switch off the power, thats the n human heart
,let human die but in as told in text books birds shouldnt
die ,keeping the rule alive....

it is clear that current flows in closed circuit.so when
birds sit on the line or neutral it doesnt complete a path
so there is no shock, similarly when this bird have one leg
on one line and send is on other line than it will have
shock.we the humaan being will get shock when the we keep
one wire in one hand and stand on the earth or floor it is
for ur information that earth is zero potional so we get
shock

It is the potential difference which causes the current but not the potential..so if the bird sits on a phase line doesn't get shock since there is only potential. But if the bird touches both the phase line and neutral( generally earth) then it gets shock due to potential difference between phase and neutral.
