Projectile motion refers to the motion of an object thrown or projected into the air, assuming there is no air resistance. It consists of horizontal motion (due to initial velocity in that direction) and vertical motion (due to gravity). Trajectory, on the other hand, is a path followed by any object as it moves through space, taking into account any external forces like air resistance or magnetic fields. While projectile motion is a specific type of trajectory, all trajectories are not necessarily projectile motions.
