Explain what is scr (silicon controlled rectifier)?..

Answer / Prateek Chaudhary

Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR), also known as Thyristor, is a four-layer semiconductor device that can be controlled to conduct current in one direction only. It is a unidirectional switch with three terminals: anode, cathode, and gate. SCR conducts current when a sufficient voltage or current triggers it at the gate terminal, but it remains off until triggered.
