Describe the difference between p-type and n-type semiconductor materials.
Answer / Mayank Kumar Dubey
P-type semiconductors have an excess of holes (positive charge carriers) due to an absence of electrons, while n-type semiconductors have an excess of free electrons. In a p-type material, the majority charge carriers are holes, and in an n-type material, the majority charge carriers are electrons. This difference is crucial for creating different types of electronic devices.
