Define what do you mean by drift velocity and mobility of a free electron?
Answer / Kiran Verma
Drift velocity is the average velocity that a charged particle, such as an electron, moves due to an applied electric field. It's a slow and steady velocity compared to the random thermal motion. Mobility (μ) is a measure of how easily a charge carrier can move through a material in response to an applied electric field. It is defined as the drift velocity divided by the electric field.
