Why supercritical boilers use less amount of steel compared to non-supercritical boilers ?
Answer / Abhinaw Kumar Rai
Supercritical boilers operate at pressures and temperatures above the critical point, reducing the volume of water and increasing the efficiency. As a result, they can use thinner walls and less material. This is because the high pressure and temperature reduce the risk of corrosion and erosion.
