Our body doesn't radiate much heat, that is why we feel the warmth when we wear woolen clothes.

Woolen clothes are bad with very little spaces between them in which they trap heat .Heat being a bad conductor of heat does not allow the outside heat to our body.

Wool is an excellent insulator. it keeps heat close to the
body by trapping still or dead air within fiber. Wool
fabric also wick moisture away from skin, keeping the
wearer dryer when sweating and cooler when hot.
