Iam happy to say that i attended the test and got selected for Siemens.

25 questions Technical and 25 questions Quantitative. 0.25 negative
marking . cut off is 8 and 12 respectively .

Time limit 35 minutes.

2. what is normalization ? (4 choice definitions are given which are very
similar) .

3. In UNIX how to delete a file?

Ans is >> 'rm' command .

4 In UNIX how to concatenate or see the details of a file ?

Ans is 'cat>>filename' cmd .

5. questions related to editors in UNIX i e vi editor'?

6. in java to ensure that no threads are being updated simultaneously

Round-3 : Technical cum HR

1. if you delete an entry from table what can you do?

ans : rollback if delete is used and cant rollback if truncate is used

they asked me whether i know the concept of recovery but i didnt know as
it was not there in syllabus .

2. explain the difference between delete and truncate ?

ans: delete is data definition language and truncate is data manipulation
language. with truncate the structure of database is lost .

3. what is a foreign key or what is the referential intergrity constraint?

4. In MS Access what is created first the table or database?
Ans: its database
