What is GNP? How it is calculated?
Answer / Susheel Sankhwar
GNP, or Gross National Product, is the total market value of all goods and services produced by a country's residents within the country's borders or abroad. It is calculated by adding the income earned by foreigners in the domestic economy (factor income) to the income earned by domestic residents from investments abroad, and then subtracting payments made to foreigners for factors servicing domestic enterprises (debt-servicing payments).
