what is B , c & d curves in MCB characteristics i e Full Form of B , C & D . sir please give me answer
Answer / rehan sajid dharme
There are the difference set of curves for which the MCB is programmed to take the initial inrush of current I.e. Starting current of the load
B curve MCB: 2-3 times of full load current
C curve MCB: 5-7 times of full load current
D curve MCB: 10-12 times of full load current
So depending upon the type of load i.e. Resistive or inductive we can make the selection appropriately
