Answer / ajay kumar das
Transformers are rated in KVA . because it works in various PF.The P.F is vital for KW as power is V.I.PF.So as we dont know the load PF transformers are rated in KVA.

Copper loss & iron loss ,Cu Loss its depends upon current (A),Iron loss depends upon Voltage (V) ,Thats y trafo rating in KVA

Answer / coolclikker
because on the load end there is a real & reactive load both
are connected. Due to reactive load power factor is lagging
so due to low power factor actual capacity of the
transformer becomes less and losses increases. So that's why
capacity is always given in Apparent power(KVA). KVA is
actually the capacity that how much power a transformer can
supply to load

Answer / iffi
very simple the power factor of the load is unknown to manufacturer of the TRAFO. for which it is going to be used

Answer / karthick
The transformer will transfer both real and reactive power . That is the apparent power in KVA . That'y it is rated in KVA ,

Distribution transformer we provided 2 separate earthing pit for Body and 2 separate earthing pit for neutral,we can not connect separate body earthing pit to other earthing pit but we do metal glanding in secondary side cable termination in both side, transformer and PCC panel (LT Panel), is this safe for transformer and other equipment?
