what is ATS?and its function or operation in power system
with its layout.

ATS is nothing but Automatic Transfer Switch. In ATS there will be two input soures and one output. One input source will be eb source and another source will be dg source. So when ever there will be eb present the ats takes the load and it feeds to distribution. So when ever there is a eb failure the diesel generators starts and the input is fed to the ats. So the ats automatically switches to dg source and it feeds to distribution. So ats always considers eb as first source and dg as second source. So it is nothing but transfer switch.

Find active & Reactive Power transmitted in a transmisston line having Vs30 degree(sending end) to Vr(zero degree)at receving end with line inductance X ohm. Vs(30degree)-------------------Vr(zero degree) X ohm
why occ characteristics of generator is also called as magnatization characteristics ?
We know that, in case if there is a faulty insulation,or sc, the current is bypassed to earth through the earth wire that has low resistance.Actually, what will happen to that current that flows through gnd?In that case,if we come in contact with that faulty appliance, wont that current flow through us as we form a closed path by standing in gnd?Is grounding a safety measure?
What are the necessary components of the feedback control system?
I have an existing old MCCB. ABB Model SACE, the rating are: Ue = 660 volts, Iu =1250 Amps, 3 poles, Ith (max) =800 amps at 45 deg C. I need a circuit breaker for my 3 phase motors, 380 volts 60 hz. the supplier required the minimum ampacity of the breaker to be 911 amps. can i use this breaker with rating of Iu =1250 amps but Ith = 800amps maximum?
Why did call copper as a electrical conductor?
While performing stability test of differintial cts how to know the voltage and current on both side of the transformer?
is KVAR (not reverse power) relay necessary to protect from excitor field failure on a brushless, synchroneus generator? Some people with previos experince tell me no but the manufacturers tell me it is designed for that purpose. Is it that it is only necessary for brushless generators and not the older style with the slip rings and brushes?
Saving in copper achieved by converting a 2 winding transformer in to an auto transformer is determined by A voltage transformation ratio B load on secondary C quality of core material D size of transformer core
why we are used D.c. voltage in L.T.side or controling side.we can use UPS also ,in place d.c. voltage
I have 11KV/415V power distribution transformer. I have found unbalance current in LT (415V) side. Also observed that unbalance voltage (3V) at LV side due to HV side unbalance voltage. What should I check for this? Also, the same LV side load can run in balance on captive power.
We are having a 2000KVA DG set. It trips with Over speed and Engne Hot when the mahine is stopped in full speed. How shall I analyse the block load and reverse power. Is the problem related to power factor. The machine which runs on this DG is having all Synchronous motors with incividual Drives.
