The regulation of a transformer is the percentage change in load current as a result of a change in load voltage, with the input voltage remaining constant. To calculate the regulation for 100 and 25 kVA transformers:
1. Measure the no-load current (I_nl) and full-load current (I_fl).
2. Calculate the load current at half-load (I_hl) by taking an average of I_fl and I_nl.
3. Calculate the regulation as follows:n Regulation = ((I_fl - I_hl)/I_hl) * 100
