Answer / vinomech

four stroke engine is a engine which will perfom a complete
engine cycle in four strokes (ie, intake, compression,
expansion or power, exhaust). at 2 complete revolutions of
crank shaft (ie, each stroke at every 90deg rotation of
crank shaft).

what is a four stroke engine?..

Answer / balaji.k.y

in an four stroke engine for 2 rotations of the crankshaft
one power stroke is obtained...that is 1)suction (1st half
rotation-TDC to BDC) 2)compression (2nd half rotation-BDC to
TDC) 3)POWER STROKE (3rd half rotation-TDC to BDC) and 4)
exhaust stroke (4th half rotation-BDC to TDC)

in case of 2 stroke engine....for every rotation of the
crank shaft one power stroke is obtained...during the travel
of piston from BDC to TDC-compression + suction into the
crank case takes place..during the travel from TDC to
BDC-power + transfer of air into cylinder causes exhaust of
burnt gases

Answer / prithivi rajan

The four strokes refer to intake, compression, combustion
(power), and exhaust strokes that occur during two
crankshaft rotations per working cycle of the Gasoline
engine and Diesel engine.

what is a four stroke engine?..

Answer / suman kumar

in four stroke engine two complete cycles involve.in one
complete cycle crankshaft rotate 360degree,so it can alaso
say that in one complete revolution involve two stroke
engine and each stroke crank shaft rotate 180 degree.
so in four stroke two complete revolution means 720degree
rotation of crankshaft and each stroke crank shaft make 180
degree.
also we know that process of four stroke is suction,c
ompression,expension,exhaust .

what is a four stroke engine?..

Answer / rajkumar

A four stroke engine means for each revolution of the
crankshaft four strokes(suction,compression,power
stroke, exhaust) are carried out. There is one power stoke for
each revolution of the crankshaft as there are two power
strokes for each revolution in case of two stroke engines.
