for the induction motor to act as an induction generator
we need to make the slip -ve i.e. we have to make
Nr>Ns..which is done by rotating the rotor by an external
prime mover,is S=-ve,then the S*E2=-ve and I2 =-ve, it will
induce emf in stator which will supply power to the source.

Answer / umdl
First of all a capacitor has to be connected parallel to the stator. Then Nr> NS.. that is you have to drive motor at a speed greater that its synchronous speed( Usually Nr must be about 50 rpm grater than Ns).

Answer / alex
a prime mover would be installed and drive the motor above it synchronous speed, it eventually turns to an inductive generator.

Answer / raghu .b
induction motor need prime mover to rotate the rotor at
certain speed, and slip rings to collect the power to
extranally in rotor shaft end.some other small changes
required to induction motor act as induction generator.
