i) In soldering, filler material used have liquidus not exceeding 800'F (427'C)and below the solidus of base metal.....but in brazing filler material used have liquidus above 800'F(427'C) and below solidus of base metal.
ii) soldering is used for joining steel, copper and other materials at a low temperature where relatively joint of less strength are sufficient.........Brazing is used where a ductile point is required which will have not only good strength but also resistance to corrosion.
