What is water/cement ratio? Importance in construction?
Answer / sisir r prusty, a.e,works dept
it is the ratio of water to cement . Since the quantity of cement is fixed in a particular batch of mix, an increase in quantity of water althouth increases workability but it reduces the strength of concrete & vice-versa.However a lower W/C ratio is recommonded in construction.
