Why frequency changes due to load variation in power system
? i.e why when load increases frequency decreases?
Answer / Beeram Singh
The frequency of an electrical power system is directly related to the system's load. When the load on a power system increases, it consumes more power and the generators supply this increased power. To maintain the power balance, the generators increase their speed slightly, which in turn increases the frequency. However, if the load continues to increase beyond a certain point, the generators can't increase their speed any further, and the frequency starts to decrease.

We use MCCB not MCB for motor starters because MCCBs has capablity to drawout the motor starting current which is 5-6 times the full load current of motor for 1sec. Then why we use SDF in starter panel means MCC panels. Pls reply if any one knows this answer.
