YEAH I THINK IT CAN WORK,BUT EFFICIENCY WILL BE MUCH LESS,AS IN CONDENSER WE CONDENSE THE STEAM TO A PRESSURE MUCH LESS THAN ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SO THE TEMPERATURE OF HEAT REJECTION IS ALSO MUCH LESS.WE KNOW THAT IF TEMP OF HEAT REJECTION DECREASES THEN THE EFFICIENCY OF THE CYCLE INCREASES.SO FOR GETTING BETTER CYCLE EFFICIENCY WE USE CONDENSER and NOTHING ELSE.

yes,it's obvious that a power plant can work with out condenserbut the efficincy is much less.

in my view ,practically without compromising efficiency as
well suitability,power plant cannot work without
condenser.theoretically if plant supplies indefinitely
abundant quantity of working fluid at the inlet of
evaporator and is disposed after expansion in turbine.But
both its disposal as well as its continuous supply is
practically impossible and thus the best optimum soln is
condenser.

yes, hydro power plants work without any condensor.

provide the lagging kvar demands at the peak hours
