To obtain an I-20, a student must first be accepted by a SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) certified school. After acceptance, the student must complete the online Form I-20 Request (Form I-200M), pay the required fee, and submit required documents to the Designated School Official (DSO). The DSO will review the application and issue the I-20 if all requirements are met.
