why insulation cost is more in underground cable than in
overhead line?

Answer / biren
In overhead line there is air around the bare conductor which is a insulation layer but the earth around the under ground cable is a good conductor. so there is more chance of insulation failure, hence to avoid the normal insulation failure more insulation is provided which increases the cost.

An underground line is fill in the earth and when if the leakage current will flo in the erth the current rating will very high in the cable that is very dangerous for human and other and in the the overhead line the air is not good conductor of electricity while an underground line is more insulation than overhead line for this reason the insulation cost is more in underground system

Which one is correct mVA or MVA. Whether both the units are same for the transformer
A genarator is connected through a 20MVA ,13.8/138 KV stepdown transformer to a transmission line. at the reciving end of the line a load is supplied through a step down transformer of 10MVA,138/69 KV rating .A 0.72 PU load evaluated on load side transformer ratings as base values ,is supplied from the above system for system base values of 10 MVA and 69 KV in load circuit the value of the load in generator circuit will be ...........
