what they are doing now. so its better to give a wise
answer that the benifits ur getting with the job
comparitively with ur previous job that affects ur career
growth and goal.
for eg: ur working as sales executive for some company u
went interview for team lead. there u can tell now i am
working as sales executive i hav good experience in sales i
can manage the team members with my experience. i hav goal
to become a manager this opportunity gives a great chance
to move towards my goal.... like that .

You can tell the interviewer that this profile is similar to the responsibilities that you had in the previous organization and it will act as a supporting pillar towards the goal and achievements of your new responsibilities. Along with that say them that you have got talent like motivating the team, taken ownership in achieving the targets in the absence of Team leader etc
