Take 5 pills from jar 1, 4 pills from jar2,.... and 1 pill
from jar 5 and put altogether in the scale. the ideal
weight should be (1+2+3+4+5)x10= 150gms. for eg if the jar2
is contaminated then the weight will be 146 gms. so
depending on the amount of weight loss we can identify the
contaminated jar.

take 1,2,3,4&5 pills from jars 1,2,3,4&5 respectively.the
total weight of the contaminated pills should be a multiple
of 9 & that of normal pills shall be a multiple of 10.
so,if its jar 1 that is contaminated, the last digit of the
total weight of all the pills will be 9,if its jar2 that is
contaminated, then the last digit will be 8,if its jar3 it
will be 7,if its jar4 it will be 6 & if its jar5 it will be
5.

taking 1 pills from 1st container
2 pills from 2nd container
3 pills from 3rd container
4 pills from 4th container
and 5 pills from 5th container
eg:
if 3rd container has contaminated pills, we have taken 3 pills from 3rd container,
then 3rd container has 3*9=27 grams of pills
remaining containers will have,(1*10)+(2*10)+(3*9)+(4*10)+(5*10)=147
if there is no contaminated pills in each jar then total weight is 150,so 150-147=3
3rd container contains contaminated pills

Take 1 pill from 1st jar,2 pills from 2nd jar,3 pills from 3rd jar,4 pills from 4th jar and 5 pills from the 5th jar.put all the pills together.since each pill weighs 10gram,totally we have taken 15 pills(1+2+3+4+5=15).so it weighs 150( if not contaminated).but definitely there is a cintaminated jar.if it weights 149 then 1st jar is contaminated,if 148 then 2nd jar is the contaminated jar,147 means 3rd jar,146 means 4th jar,145 means 5th jar.

first of all,the type of balance must be clearified
if the balance is a modern one then the former solutions
can be working
else
we have to start with 1 jar on one side and 1 on the other
hand of the balance.
if the needle is in cente then ok or we will find the
required jar
else
put the second and third jar on the sides and now if the
neddle is again in centre then the remaining one is
contaminated otherwise the side where the needle goes down
has the right jar and opposite side has required jar(3 or 4)

Actually for this minimum 2 measurements are needed. Any how
if they want we can explain in luck-based-one measurement also.
Solution: Take one from each of those 5. Select any 4 and
put them like 2 on each side. If they are luckily equal
means the other one is answer.
