1)deutirIUM will not give nmr signal.
2)Here proton exchange reaction takes place b/w the
chloroform(CHCl3)and the analyte protons.If deutirated
chloroform ie CDCl3 is used, it is easy to locate the
position of proton in the analyte which is exchanged with
the D in the
deutirated chloroform.
