According to books and lecture of teacher " Wheen a electron jumps from its valance band to its conduction band a vacency is created in the valance band for the new incomming electron". that vacency is called as hole.
But I am Still confused what actually means a hole?
--It is said that electron and holes both are charge carriers. I don't know how it become possible. According to my view The rest of field where the electron does not exist will referred to as hole. As per Heisenberg's uncertanity principle the position and momentum of the electron of the can't be determined simultaneously. Same can be applied for the Holes.
and some otherthiengs etc...
Friends If you know what actually means the hole and what exactly is it please post comment. I am trying to further research on it.

It is known that on applying
voltage on the
semiconductor electrons
from the valency band cross
the junction and pass into
conduction band. These
electrons create holes in
valency band. This is how
conduction takes place.
