What is ROM (Read-Only Memory) ?..

Answer / ashoka.lokhande

ROM is an abbreviation for Read-Only Memory. It is an area
of data storage devoted to information that will not be
updated or changed. Image files stored in ROM were famously
used in simple electronic video games (e.g., as backgrounds
for Super Nintendo and Game Gear game titles). ROM is used
less frequently today, as faster access rates have been
achieved for data storage in Random Access Memory (RAM).
