the megger value show the dielectric strength of the
insulation .through megger we conclude that the
deterioration of the insulation. & the value of megger
shoulb be greater than

2*kv+1=Mohm

if you are asked to charge a m/c urgently, you can go for dummy charging using 3-phase load through a, say 16A MCB, and if the MCB does't trips then there is no problem you can go for permanent charging.

Instead of single phase(220), if we apply Phase to phase (R&Y)supply (eg: for lighting fixture). what will be the power formula?
