What is the working principle of CFL& T5? How these glows?..

Answer / sudz

CFL-Compact Florescent Lamp,work as followz..
Cfl has an electronic circuit built in with smal
transformer+two electrodes+Murcury gas insid tub+phosphorus
coting at outer of tube.. Whn 220-240 V gets in,electrons
enjected inside the tube having sufficient energy,collides
wid mucury particals=>Looses energy and comes at stable
state=>Releasing PHOTONS in ultravilot(NOT VISIBL)region..To
make PHOTONS to visibl,these photons collide with phosporus
coted tube..Now again as e- looses energy,the released
PHOTONS comes under VISIBLE region...And thus IT GLOWS...GOT
IT???
