By using speed governing system with steam turbines which
regulates the steam supply to the turbine and hence reduce
the load effects on the generator.

BY CONNECTING A STARTER i.e. A LARGE RESISTANCE IN SERIES
WITH THE GENERATOR AND IS ADDED IN STEPS.
