the improper lubrication in the cylinder causes friction between the piston and the cylinder walls thus causing friction....releasing friction heat thus damaging the piston rings leading to improper working of the engine....

or wife touches you, then an unusual feeling happens in your
mind. Simillarly, if two metals are subjected to a physical
contact, there develops friction.
