by improving the p.f the reactive power consumpion is
reduced and hence the kva consumption is reduced. thus for
the same KW loading the current drawal reduced. As a result
the size of conductor/cable required reduced and also the
total KVA/MVA demand reduced. Hence all the bulk consumer
are encourraged to improve their load p.f by imposing
rebate in their energy bills.
