Tolerances on bolts indicate the acceptable range for variations in a bolt's dimensions. Common tolerance symbols include:
- H (hole) indicates the tolerance for the hole size in which the bolt is to be inserted.
- F (fit) indicates the tolerance for the bolt diameter and pitch, as well as the allowable clearance or interference with other parts.
- T (thread) indicates the tolerance for the thread profile, thread height, and thread pitch.
