What are the protections required to protect turbine?

Answer / karthick
the most susceptible parts that prone to failure is the
turbine blade and the problem is with corrosion pit.this
corrosion pit is caused by fatigue failure.then crack
originates from this corrosion pit.so it is better to have
good coating over the surface of blades.most widely used
material is chromium.turbines are made up of nickel based
alloy.so coating with chromium along with nickel is a good
combination to avoid corrosion
