Why HT motor is connected in Star?..

Answer / ravindhar

bcoz in star connection phase voltage is 0.57times the line
voltage. so that the insulation required is less. but in
the case of delta connection phase voltage is equal to the
line voltage. the insulation required is more.so the cost
of the equipment is also more.
