I am working on offshore industry, recently i have a
request from client(petrobras) for our newbuilding, it
require a ANSi code 48 loss of phase protection for
generator. As i understand, the ansi code 48 is a lock of
rotor starting time supervision for motors. most of the
protection relays are provided this function just for
motor. don't know what is the really means for client
requirement' loss of phase protection ansi(48)' for
generator and how to achieve it. Anybody can help? thanks
in advance.
