Why the tapping connections are taking above for gas service and below for liquid service?

ADCO,

2 4644

We have a Yokogawa Micro-XL DCS, which is having around 300 I/O, but whenever there is any wire gets grounded in field, the 24v supply to all loops gets dipped & all the indications at DCS goes to IOP(shows input open), at present we have fixed 500mA fuses in all the lines but which does not working. Does it required to replace with lower amps fuse, then how much or is there any other solution for this.

I want to know if flowrate increases in 16' pipe line what will happen to upstream pressure and why?

1 2096

In 16' pipeline one pcv is installed which is controlled by PT installed at inlet of PCV.If Flowrate in pipeline increases what will happen to pressure at the inlet of pcv.

what is the relation between flow and pressure.for example relationship between level and pressure is p = phg like that i want ans for this question.and also how to calculate orifice sizing and flow transmitter. pls some one ans for this questions.

Orchid, SRF,

What should be the ideal tapping location for pressure differential transmitter for liquid service. If the tapping taken from the top of the pipe then PDIT will work properly or not. If PDIT do not work properly then what minimum corrective action should be taken in order to solve wrong tapping locations.

Calculate the maximum pressure drop that can be allowed to occur across a control valve, so that we can prevent cavitation / flashing from occurring. Use the following formula: Δ P allow = Km (P1 – PvapourA) where, Δ P allow - the maximum allowable differential pressure for sizing purposes, or terminal pressure drop; Km- the valve recovery coefficient from the manufacturer’s catalogue; P1 - absolute inlet fluid pressure; PvapourA - absolute fluid vapour pressure at the inlet temperature; Use Atmospheric pressure = 101.3 kPa, P1 = 1200 kPa(g), PvapourA = 4 kPa, KM = 0.72
