It depends upon the height of the building. If the
structure is G + 3 the steel consumption is about 2.5 kg
per sq.ft. If the structure is tower of 15 storeys the
steel consumption can be as high as 6 kg per sq.ft. For
towers which are 25 storeys high steel consumption is 7.5
kg per sq.ft.

for G+12 floors - 3.5kg

The steel is required as per the type of structure, that means the tentative calculation of steel is as per below,
For Foundation & Slab = 80Kg/Cu.M.
For Column = 100 Kg/Cu.M.
For Beam = 120 Kg/Cu.M.
The Cu.M. quantity is RCC quantity of structure.
