we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the
voltage for various electronics components why can't we
step up the voltage from 12/230v if we can shall we use the
voltage for domestic single phase supply

we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the voltage for various electronics component..

Answer / ashish

if you are going for a step up voltage then the voltage
source at lower level (in this case 12v ) has to be very
strong i.e the 12v side should be able to feed the high
current rating of the equipment connected to 230v such as
AC, fridge, water heater , mixer, microwave etc and imagine
if few of the equipments are running at the same time then
amount of power required which the 12v source has to
provide ...its difficult...
and also in such case the insulation level, the conductor
size etc has to be worked out for ECONOMIC point of view ...
its difficult..

we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the voltage for various electronics component..

Answer / santosh kawade

We can step up AC (alternating current) 12V to 230V by
using 12/230V transformer.

To use the voltage for domestic single phase supply we have
to match domestic appliance rating and 12/230V transformer
and its source rating.

we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the voltage for various electronics component..

Answer / raj

it is not possible, because like ashish said, it wont
withstand insulation part ,gets oveheated and rbursted,
for each trans former insulation is also a mater with
depends on load and area its gona to use...

we can stepdown the voltage from 230/12v ,and we use the voltage for various electronics component..

Answer / michael

we can step up 12v to 230v but we cant use it for domestic single phase supply . we all know that V1/V2 = I2/I1
the amount of current comes from electronics device will be lower when we use step up again the voltage to 230v. you will attain the 230v but not the current needed by the equipment

Answer / uday

Yes, u r correct mr. Kawade, but transmission will too
complecated, coz as voltage is low then resistance will be
high.
